Our Mission
Our mission is to offer quality, feline focused grooming in the cat’s own home to eliminate the stress of transportation, and introduce specialized cat specific handling techniques to help minimize anxiety and contribute to the cat’s comfort and well being.
The Tailored Tabby
The Tailored Tabby was founded in 2026 by Ashley Adamik. The company is based out of Hagerstown, and serves an approximately 70 mile service radius. Our services take place in your own home, we do not have a mobile van. Our groomer is an active member of the National Cat Groomers Association, is currently pursuing her Certified Feline Master Groomer certification, and has completed courses in cat handling and cooperative care.

About Ashley
Ashley is the owner and groomer of The Tailored Tabby.
She has 30 years experience in animal handling roles in grooming, veterinary medicine, and pet sitting. Ashley’s own cats had long had issues with traveling in a car and with having routine grooming tasks done, so she taught herself how to handle their grooming at home over many years of cat ownership. After discovering the National Cat Groomers Institute in 2025 and realizing that groomers could be cat exclusive, it gave her the idea to put her previous professional grooming skills to good use and help out other cat owners in a similar situation. She is a current member of the National Cat Groomers Institute and is taking her exams for her Certified Feline Master Groomer exams in May 2026.
Her current home menagerie includes three cats and a Bernese Mountain Dog.
